TECHNICAL SUPPORT DIVISION
Technology Services Branch (TSB)

TSB is composed of scientists and engineers of varying backgrounds. TSB provides technical support and technology transfer to our customers: the states, OSM Field Offices, OSM Headquarters, and academia. Technical expertise is available in the following fields: hydrology, engineering, geography, geographical information systems (GIS) global positioning systems (GPS), and Information Technology. TSB provides technical computing support for scientific investigations to determine mining relatedness and effects, provides technical advice to its customers, teaches technical training classes, provides technical support to the TIPS program, and supports Information Technology for the Regional Office.
